Transaction transmission process

Below a description of the process:

  1. The Citizen securely stores their payment instruments on the Centro Stella platform, using IO app or any other channel made available, for example, by their bank or card issuer

  2. The Citizen makes a payment to a merchant operating in Italy

  3. The Acquirer, after the processing, sends the transaction data to Centro Stella

    • The Acquirers participating in the service will send the transaction log directly to Centro Stella, with the exception of PagoBancomat and Amex payments

    • PagoBancomat transaction will be sent by the Acquirers to Bancomat

    • Bancomat, Amex will send directly to CentroStella all the transactions carried out on their own schemes (including those received from the other Acquirers that Bancomat will send on behalf of them)

  4. Centro Stella processes the transactions for each single vertical initiative built on this shared infrastructure
